Design 446’s story is one that is defined not only in years, but through impact. With over 60 years of industry experience, Tom Villane and Ann Marie Baker truly live by the adage that pleasure in the job puts perfection in the work.
Tom joined the Design 446 team in 1995 as a Partner before taking over as President in 1999. A graduate of Ohio Wesleyan University, Tom is known for chasing his passion for great design and building powerful brand experiences that resonate with consumers and propel growth.
Receiving an art education with private lessons at a young age and later voted “most artistic” in high school, Ann Marie graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Fine Arts degree from The College of New Jersey. She began her career in 1986 as a designer at Design 446 while attending college. Today, she is proud to be the Vice President of one of the leading advertising and marketing firms in the Tri-State area.
Together, Tom and Ann Marie have guided Design 446 in growth from a five-person design studio into a full-service industry powerhouse. They have effectively led creative teams in pursuit of that one truly breakthrough idea. Their winning combination of business experience and marketing/design skills have strategically transformed Design 446 into an award-winning, results-driven agency.
Today, Design 446 continues to impact the community through Impactship, our internship program that promotes social responsibility among our youth. This exciting program provides high school and college students with a structured internship experience that allows them to build a portfolio relevant to their field of study while helping a local nonprofit (for-impact) organization connect with the world around them.
As we continue to write our Design 446 story, we are grateful to you – our clients, friends, families and industry partners – for being the most important part of it.
